TPI Golf Performance

Enhance Your Golf Skills with TPI Golf Performance

If your game has plateaued, your back aches after 18 holes, or you just cannot seem to get the distance you used to have, your body might be telling you something. Most golfers spend hours working on their swing mechanics. But what most golf coaches cannot fix are the physical limitations in your body that are forcing your swing to compensate in the first place.

At Oakridge Chiropractic and Wellness Centre, Dr. Tada combines a genuine love of the game with TPI certification to find exactly where your body is holding your golf back, and build a plan to fix it. Most golfers blame their technique. Dr. Tada looks at your body first.

What is TPI?

TPI stands for the Titleist Performance Institute, the world's leading educational organization dedicated to studying how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing.

For over 20 years, TPI has gathered the world's largest database of Tour professionals and everyday golfers, collecting movement, strength, power, and biomechanical data on every player who visits their campus. Using this data, TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible, and how physical limitations can adversely affect the swing and potentially lead to injury.

This relationship is what TPI calls the Body-Swing Connection, and it is the foundation of everything Dr. Tada applies in your care.

Who This Is For:

Whether you are a weekend warrior trying to finally break 90, or a senior golfer who wants to keep playing for another 20 years, golf performance chiropractic care is designed for you.

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Feel stiff or sore before, during, or after your round
  • Have lost distance or consistency in your swing
  • Are dealing with a nagging injury that keeps coming back
  • Want to keep playing golf well into your 60s, 70s, and beyond
  • Have been told your swing has faults you cannot fix with lessons alone

What to Expect

Every golfer is unique. At Oakridge Chiropractic and Wellness Centre, Dr. Tada uses your TPI movement screen to understand your body, swing mechanics, and personal goals, crafting a treatment plan specifically for you.

TPI Movement Screen and Golf Fitness Assessment:

This full-body movement assessment follows the TPI screening protocol. Dr. Tada evaluates your mobility, stability, and strength in key golf areas, including hips, thoracic spine, shoulders, and core. The results uncover physical patterns that influence your swing and form the basis for your customized care plan.

Chiropractic Adjustments:

Targeted spinal and joint adjustments help restore proper movement, reduce pain, and allow for optimal body rotation. When your joints move freely, your swing naturally follows.

ART Soft Tissue Therapy:

Active Release Technique (ART) is a hands-on method used to release tension in muscles, tendons, and fascia. Conditions like golfer’s elbow, hip tightness, and rotator cuff issues often respond well to ART, improving your comfort and performance.

Shockwave Therapy:

For stubborn or chronic golf injuries, shockwave therapy promotes tissue healing. This approach is especially effective for tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, and persistent elbow or shoulder pain.

Golf-Specific Rehab Exercises:

After each visit, you’ll receive targeted exercises based on your assessment and playing style. These movements are chosen to address physical limitations affecting your golf swing.

K-Tape:

Kinesiology taping supports joints and muscles between appointments, helping reduce inflammation and letting you keep playing as you recover. Because we understand stopping golf isn’t always an option.
